What is Quick Video in the desktop platform?

Quick Video is the fastest way to record and send a video from the OneDay desktop platform. You record a single clip and go straight to sharing, with no editing step. Quick Videos also process almost instantly, so they’re ready to send right away.

When to use Quick Video

Use Quick Video when speed matters more than polish. It works well for:

• Quick follow-ups after a call or tour
• Thank-you messages
• Answering a prospect’s question
• Walking someone through your website or a document using the screen recorder

If you need more than one clip, want to use clips from your Digital Library, or want to edit your video, use Creator Studio instead.

How to record a Quick Video

1. Click the green Create Video button in the top right of any page.
2. Choose Quick Video.
3. Click the gear icon in the lower right of the recording window to check that the right camera and microphone are selected. Do this every time you use an external camera or microphone.
4. Under Record Mode on the right, choose how you want to record:
   • Camera Only records just you.
   • Camera + Screen records your screen, with your face in a small circle in the lower-left corner.
   • Screen Only records just your screen.
5. Click the red record button. A 3-2-1 countdown starts.
6. When recording begins, smile and look at the camera for a couple of seconds before you start talking.
7. Click the red button again to stop.

After you stop recording

Watch the preview, then choose:

• Re-Record Clip to try again.
• Next: Share Video to keep the clip and go to the Share Video screen.

Share your Quick Video

On the Share Video screen, personalize your video title, email subject and message, and choose whether to turn on commenting and add a call to action. Then pick how to send it:

• Send to contacts. Select people from your connected CRM by clicking Add from contacts, then Publish & Share.
• Send to a one-time recipient. Enter their name, choose Email or Phone, enter their details, click Save and continue, then Publish & Share.
• Publish without sharing. Get a link, which is copied to your clipboard, to share however you like.

You’ll see Video Ready! when your Quick Video has finished processing, usually almost instantly.

Tip: Sending directly from the desktop platform gives you the most detailed video tracking.

Using the screen recorder with Quick Video

Choose Camera + Screen or Screen Only, and your browser will ask what to share: a tab, a window or your entire screen. After you share, go back to the OneDay tab and click the red button to start.
