What is a template in the mobile app?

A template is a branded intro and outro that wraps around the video you record. The intro plays before you start talking, and the outro plays after you finish. Templates make your videos look polished and on-brand without any extra editing.

Why use a template?

Grab attention. A branded intro helps your video stand out from the first second.
Personalize your message. Pick a template that fits your reason for reaching out, like a thank-you, a welcome or a tour follow-up.
Stay on-brand. Every video using the template has the same professional look.

Custom branded templates

If your team has had a custom template created, it shows your organization’s own branding and logo. You’ll find it alongside the other templates in the app.

Template categories

Templates are grouped into categories, shown as tabs at the top of the Select Video Template screen. Swipe across the tabs to see them all. Categories include:

Human Resources Videos, such as Happy Work Anniversary, Thank You!, Meet Our Team, Team Member Testimonial and Welcome To Our Team!
Seasonal
Sales and Marketing, such as Hello!, Let’s Connect!, It was great meeting you! and Apartment Tour
Resident

The templates available to you depend on your account. Take some time to browse them in the app and find the ones that fit the videos you make most often.

What are prompts?

Under each template’s name is a number of prompts, for example “Thank You! – 7 prompts.” Prompts are short messages, questions or greetings that come with the template. A prompt appears on screen just before your recorded clip plays, introducing what you’re about to say.

For example, the Thank You! template includes prompts like “Thank you for applying to [your community]” and “You seem like a great fit!”

How to use a template

Tap Create in the bottom menu, then tap Creator Studio.
On the Select Video Template screen, swipe through the category tabs and tap the template you want. To record without a template, tap Blank Template.
On the recording screen, the template’s prompts appear in the middle of the screen. Scroll to choose the one you want for this clip, or:
- Tap Custom Prompt to type your own.
- Tap No Prompt to record without one.
Tap the red record button to record your clip.

When you preview your video, it plays in this order: the template’s intro, your prompt, your recorded clip, and then the template’s outro.
