What is Quick Video in the mobile app?

Quick Video is the fastest way to record and send a video in the OneDay mobile app. You record a single clip, and OneDay adds your community branding and creates an animated GIF thumbnail for you. There’s no editing step and no wait for your video to process, so you can record and send in moments.

When to use Quick Video

Use Quick Video when speed matters more than polish. It works well for:

  • Quick follow-ups after a call or tour
  • Thank-you messages
  • Answering a prospect’s question
  • Short check-ins with residents or families

If you need more than one clip, or want to edit your video, use Creator Studio instead. If you’d like help writing what to say, use AVA Assisted.

How to record a Quick Video

  1. Open the OneDay app and tap Create in the bottom menu.
  2. Under Make It Today, tap Quick Video.
  3. Hold your phone upright (portrait) or sideways (landscape).
  4. Tap the red record button to start. A timer at the top of the screen shows how long you’ve been recording.
  5. Tap the button again to stop.

The Quick Video recording screen

Quick Video uses a simpler recording screen than Creator Studio. You’ll see:

  • Back arrow: leave the recording screen.
  • Filter wand: smooth out facial features.
  • Flip camera (circular arrows): switch between your front and back cameras.
  • Red record button: start and stop recording.

After you stop recording

You’ll see three options:

  • Review clip: watch your recording. Use the pause button and progress bar to control playback, then tap the X to return to your options.
  • Delete clip & re-record: throw out the clip and try again.
  • Save & Share Video: keep the clip and move on to sharing it.

Share your Quick Video

On the Share Video screen, add a title, subject line and message. Then choose your recipients and tap I’m Done! Publish & Send. For the full steps, see How do I create and share a video with my contacts?

Tips

  • Start with a smile. Look at the camera and smile for a second or two before you start talking, so your video opens warmly.
  • Keep it short. Quick Video works best for short, focused messages.
